Listened on audio. It Kept grabbing my attention and then not. I'm proud I did not DNF.

Warning: child abuse, rape, murder of a 12 year old. Very graphic details which repeats over and over again. Not for the faint at heart. ...more

This book is like a 2 1/2 stars for me. I listened to it on audio. I was very disappointed in this book. It kept grabbing my attention and then I'd drift off. I'm just proud of myself for not DNFing it and sticking to the end. The end was not what I expected. Warning: This book is about child abuse, rape and murder of 12 year old children. For mature audiences only because the author describes in detail what happened to the children and repeats it over and over again. Not for the faint at heart. ...more

I read this for book club and for #marchmysterymadness, but it wasn't really my type of book. I listened to it on audio. The narrator was fine, but I hated the amount of foul language in the book.

The mystery was interesting, but I thought the motive was a bit of a stretch. I was disappointed that there wasn't much resolution to the old mystery, but I don't think I liked the book well enough to read more to find out if it gets solved later on. ...more
