This book sat on my shelf for a very long time. More than a year ago, a friend saw it, and suggested I read this next - that it didn't matter what I planned on reading, this book needed to be bumped up on my list because it was really, really good. This is suspenseful and intricate, with interesting characters and a lot going on - really hard to put down! The dark atmosphere of Franco's dictatorship adds to the suspense and the pervasive tension, but the youth of the main characters keeps it from going too far. ...more
