3.5 A thoroughly enjoyable story about a hotel that travels through space, its inhabitants, and the repressive ruler of the realm. An ongoing mystery is woven throughout.

This book was really interesting. Though there *is* a thru-line, this isn't an A to B to C story structure. We jump around between characters, dipping into their past and their present. I wish the anti-alien stuff had been explored a little more, because it was definitely odd that everyone in the story is human and I kept wanting to picture them as *not quite* human. But overall, I enjoyed this story and the meandering journey. ...more
