Like many people, I really liked Red, White & Royal Blue. But this? This, I LOVED.

I'm not going to write a big long summary, but the basics are: August is starting over in New York. August meets Jane on the subway and thinks she's keen. August realizes Jane is *always* on the subway. August realizes Jane can't leave the subway. Quest to fix this ensues.

Maybe it's because I recently read a book where backstory and information was repeatedly just dumped in long conversational question/answer sessi

I loved Red, White and Royal Blue so very much. I went into One Last Stop very nervous that this novel couldn't live up to those expectations. And in a certain way I was right- it is not quite as ideal in my estimation. But don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good, readers! One Last Stop is super adorable. This was so good. I loved the characters, from August and Jane to the whole cast of misfits and found family. I loved the plot, it was amazing and didn't feel contrived at all. It sucks you in and does not let you go. I loved it. ...more

That… was quite a bit racier than I was expecting. After red, white, and royal blue I should’ve seen it coming, but somehow I didn’t realize it was the same author. Lovely characters, fun plot, definitely worth reading.

Please don't look at how long this book took me to finish as a sign that it is boring, slow, or not incredible. I blame my lack of focus on the pandemic and also being WAY too excited to have received an advanced copy.

I guess it's appropriate that I finally finished this queer time traveling romance during Pride.

Casey McQuiston has become one of my favorite authors and I can't wait to read what they put out next.

I'll be perfectly honest, I requested this book simply because I liked another book by the author and I didn't read the description. I had a little trouble getting into this one and the concept of Jane being displaced from the 1970s. Eventually I got into it and enjoyed trying to help solve the mystery of Jane. ...more
