I could relate so much to this book that it was painful, but I am nit sorry that I decided to read this book!

I picked up this book not knowing anything about the author. It wasn't until near the end when she talked about Japanese Breakfast that I recognized her. It's not my favorite genre, but I've heard of them. None of this matters, but it does a little context to the existence of this memoir. After all, a memoir of a random unknown person would be a hard sell.

Some nice writing, a little too melancholy for my current mood. Also the audio was a little flat/colorless. But I like the food imagery and the memories.
