This is the second book I have read from Taylor Jenkins Reid and it was even better than previous one. She is such a talented story teller and great at writing.

I will admit that I was hesitant to read this novel because the synopsis didn't grab me. I thought it was just going to be about famous people drinking and doing drugs at a party. However, Jenny at Book Coffee Happy practically demanded (in a good way) that I read it, so I knew it had to be something special. I'm so glad that I took her advice! This may keep me from judging a book by its synopsis in the future...

This is my second Reid book so I knew what to expect this time: frothy, women-centered historical fiction, gilded on the edges with a hint of celebrity glam. (Prepare yourself for multiple “I’m pregnant” plot turns.) To my surprise, I really enjoyed this book!! Somehow, Reid managed to make all of her characters (and there are A LOT) interesting. Maybe I was just in the right mood.
