I really quite loved this book.

The writing is smooth, lyrical, and so well bandied about in every mood. I love the deal that is struck between The Dark and Addie, and all the repercussions that are made to fall out from it (and especially that it's impossible to work around them). I love the clear message about 'the power beyond an idea' being sometimes more powerful than anything specific and set in stone. I love the march of scenes through history, and the interplay betw

I loved this book! Such a cool, interesting perspective. I loved the historical point of view through the ages and the main character was very likable and relatable. I would have liked a more final ending, but I believe that goes with the point of the story.

3.5 I had such a hard time finishing this listen...many friends liked it. It was enjoyable but because it took me so long to finish I can’t give it 4 stars.
