Even if you know nothing about Greek mythology, I would highly recommend picking this book up for an engaging story. I found myself thoroughly immersed in the time period and the relationship between Patroclus and Achilles. I was unaware of the many side stories related to each of the characters and look forward to reading Circe for more on this time and place.
I can’t wait to see what others thought of this book and participate in the discussion with @throwbookclub later this month.

Fantastic! Beautifully written, lyrical in tone and epic in scope, I’ll be thinking about this one for a long time. It really is so good, if you like mythology or a well written story, read this book ASAP!
