Why did I wait so long to read this book?!? That’s what I kept asking myself the more and more I read. I typically don’t read about mythology, though I know the rough outline of many stories from other books, readings from college, and plays and movies. What Miller has done here has not only made this story accessible but she’s made me care. Beautifully written and I learned a lot. But I knew it would be sad.
It was a bit too gritty for my tastes and I am not one for tragedies. But I did like the story and how it gave new life and perspective to an epic story.
I’ve chosen not to finish this book. I found it pretty dull. I appreciate what it’s doing but it wasn’t the book for me.
