A very beautiful and captivating book about a Marsh Girl named Kya- who was abandoned as a child and had to survive living in the marsh on her own. It’s heartbreaking and amazing- the loneliness is real, I can totally feel it through Kya’s heart and eyes. The marsh is her only family and the bery descriptive setting helps a lot.

I finally read THE BOOK of summer 2019. It was well worth the wait. I'm not sure what to really say about this book that hasn't been said. It is filled with wonderful language and atmosphere. The characters are compelling and interesting. There is gut wrenching emotion and an extremely satisfying ending.

Started out really compelling but my interest definitely waned about halfway through and I eventually got to the point where I couldn’t wait to be finished. And the romance between Kya and Tate was sweet at first (like when they were kids) but when they were adults it felt like it was ripped from the pages of a YA novel.

After waiting on what I think was the longest-ever library wait list, I finally read this novel everyone is raving about. It started out slow, but got better by the end. It was like, not love for me, and since there was so much hype about this one, not loving it felt like a let-down.

A Long Tale
This story definitely had its ups and downs for me. For the most part I really enjoyed it, but some bits hung on far too long.
