What Members Thought
This books starts out slow and a little ... uninteresting until Claude arrives. Once Claude is here, the story really takes off. I found it to be a pretty powerful statement on parenting, acceptance, what we do for our children, what our children do for siblings, and just our society in general. Well worth the read.
This family is so loveable. But I don't like how they don't acknowledge their advantages in terms of how wealthy they are and the fact that this would have been a very different story if they were a family of color.
