This murder mystery/family drama was overwhelming with too many words and not enough action. I felt like it took 300 pages to get slightly interesting. The main character wasn’t likable, and it just felt like it was missing something.

The beginning is a bit slow and the main character is kind of a git. The middle picks up and the end descended into too much existentialism for me.
