What Members Thought

I'm delighted to say that the books in this series get better with each new story. This one involves men from Strike's past. One of them has sent his secretary a grisly gift in the mail, which prompts a police investigation. Naturally Strike and Rachel start their own investigating, and become closer than they've ever been before. While there is still an over amount of detail now and than, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Cormoran Strike, Book 3.
Galbraith (ahem, Rowling) writes a whip-smart mystery. I didn’t like this one as much as the first two, but only because the murders are so horrifyingly gross. Gruesome but good. I enjoy the characters enough to want to hear their story, but am struggling with the violent nature of the crimes contained in the books.

Oh man, I love this series. This one is more grisly than the others but so good and we learn a lot about Robin in this book. Creative incorporation of Blue Oyster Cult song lyrics at the beginning of each chapter. Crazy ending; can't wait for the next one!
