I appreciated his clearly written explanations about how his mind works, which by extension gave great insight into Asperger's Syndrome. He's had an interesting life and he wrote about it in a pretty engaging way, but he would lose me every now and then when he got into long descriptions of various pranks he pulled when he was young. I wasn't clear on why I was supposed to care about that.

Good story, well told. It didn't provide quite as much insight into the mind of an Aspergian (to steal the author's word) as I'd hoped. I taught an Aspergian and an autistic last year, and I wanted to better understand their worlds. This book didn't really help me in that goal. That said, it was quite entertaining to work through, as the stories are real, interesting, and well-crafted.

I'm a long time fan of Augusten Burroughs and I've had this book on my TBR for sometime. I finally listened to it and liked the telling of Robison's life. I felt bad for his child self but it seems like he became a fully function adult nonetheless.

This another well-written book from someone with Asperger's. I was impressed with Robison's writing, but didn't really care for him as a "character" in the book. Interesting to read, but not one of my favorites.
