What Members Thought
I expect certain things when I read a Stephanie Plum novel... I expect Stephanie to be awful at her job, I expect her to wreck or blow up at least one car, I expect her to love Morelli and be freaked out about commitment, I expect her to be in lust with Ranger and freaked out about that, I expect Granny to do and say some things that make me cringe, and I expect Lula to be Lula. Mostly, I expect to laugh and forget my life for a few hours.

Stephanie Plum in all her hilarious goodness. This time Stephanie spends a lot more time with Ranger which cut down a little on the feeling that this set of books feels scripted. Insert a cast of bad guys and Plum getting her car and/or apartment destroyed, sexual tension between the triangle of Stephanie, Morelli, and Ranger present as always. Danger seems to find Plum and her sidekicks and junkfood seems to not affect her at all. With all that is predictable, I still love my occasional comfort

The fun and funny romp that I expect from this series. I did, however, think that part of the set-up (a job Stephanie had) didn't make a lot of sense. However, I was too busy enjoying the ride to let it bother me for long.

As always, a fun, quick read. I get through it so fast, and then feel sad that I have to wait a year for the next one!!!
It's more of the usual, with a few laugh-out-loud moments. I am so done with the cars blowing up, though. It stopped being funny several books ago. The love triangle is getting pretty old, too.

I wavered on how many stars to give this one. I was originally at 3 for the majority of the book, until I read a laugh out loud (which is what I expect when I read this series) near the end. Then I was thinking maybe I should give it 4 stars. I finally settled on 3 1/2.
These are getting way over the top now, and it's time for Stephanie to make a choice between Morelli and Ranger, but I still laughed out loud at several parts.
