I don't read this kind of book often, but I was having trouble focusing and thought a thriller might be a better thing to try. I didn't really feel into it. I do think it could make a better movie.

It took about 200 pages before I really got into it. It was very much a girl's story told through a male lens. All the major players were male while the women were the ones that had actual things happen to them and were rarely given their own perspective. The ending was the only thing that saved it from being a total waste of my time.
