I started this randomly, because I needed a new audiobook and liked the narrator. I liked it! It’s a fun YA send-up to Sherlock Holmes. I especially liked the epilogue from Charlotte’s point of view.

I really did adore this. I love Holmes and Watson, in most of their iterations, but sometimes make this face: o.O at the need to turn everyone into a girl (I know, I'm a rotten feminist). But i loved this. I loved Charlotte and all her flaws and Watson who was tougher than the original. I loved the story, their friendship, the mystery. Totally worth every moment. ...more

The concept is totally my genre happy place - canon references, murder mystery, a female Holmes, adolescents with all the feels. Hopefully, the trilogy can hold up.
