I was actually expecting to dislike this book after hearing it referred to as 'an American Slap.' The Slap I hated half-way down the first page.
Freedom however I loved instantly and could not stop reading. I loved the writing style, the characters, the opening pages intrigued me. I really enjoyed Patty's diary.
