I didn't like this at all....there was nothing redeeming about it but there has been so much hype about this book about a girl with a mysterious past! I read the first fifty pages, hated it but wanted to know what the huge mystery was, skipped to the last fifty pages. The big mystery was a huge trauma, not a twist, and the ending was flat with no redemption. Why are these things published with such hype?? I dislike Ani. She is bitchy and manipulative. She only cares about herself, how much weight she's lost for her upcoming wedding, and who everybody else is wearing - yes, "who"... Jimmy Choo, Prada, Vera Wang, and similar designers that I didn't recognize.

I almost quit reading this one after the first couple of chapters (the main character is that annoying/unsympathetic as an adult), but kept going. That alone makes it better than The Girl on The Train which I couldn't get through; not as good as Gone Girl, though. The story of 14-year old TifAni holds the book together and provides the reasons for her adult character. The second half really kept me interested.
