I am having the hardest time getting through this book but I am determined to finish it.

The history of Mormonism, their beliefs, and the case studies of a variety of Fundamentalist Mormons were generally interesting, although I got a bit bored by the trials and tribulations of the Mormons in the midwest. My real concern with the book was that Krakauer doesn't make enough of a point that the LDS (not FLDS), is a peaceful religion these days. It would be a less sensationalist point, but, however weird their beliefs seem to non-Mormons, they aren't violent militants, massacring innoce ...more
