This book is attracting the kind of reviews that I usually associate with New Adult or YA Paranormal romances ... the gifs, the pictures of the characters, the squeeing, the dismissive reviews ... I feel confused, like I need to read it for myself. I do like a good thriller.

A page turner. Only warning is at times it can be pretty graphic.
While I more or less figured out most of the plot early on, I enjoyed the story; there were still enough twists along the way to keep it interesting. Claire was a little grating and things did get a bit grisly now and then --- but maybe that's what held my interest over a typical suspense/thriller novel.

So good, and really hard to read in places, which is rare for me. I am a lover of all things horror and terrifying, and this goes all the way there.
