This was such a fun book! I loved the quirky, Bernadette, and her delightful daughter, Bee. The story is told mostly through emails, letters, faxes, and other documentation, as well as, Bee's point of view. It's fast-paced, humorous, and surprising. Bernadette is an ex-architect, who was extremely talented, but has cast her art aside. In not creating, she has become a bit manic. After a series of over-the-top events, Bernadette goes missing. Not bad, but I'm not sure I really loved it. Im confused I think? Im not sure.

This is a quick, funny, and compelling book. Sadly, Bernadette reminded me of myself on my worst days, when I am utterly sick of the grittiness of urban life and tired of interacting with too many people. Still, it was entertaining to read about her midlife crisis and her family's zany life in Seattle.
