What Members Thought

Ahhhh! Why do authors always have to end books that way? I knew it was going to happen, but I was still not mentally or emotionally prepared for it. How long do I have to wait for part 3?

Maybe actually 3.5 Stars. Mare continues on her road to being the Red Queen. (No spoiler there, since I don’t know if that happens, but that’s what the series is called. Duh.) She deal with Farley and Maven and Cal all over again, plus Kilhorn and her brothers and family. She gets ideas, she gets hurt, and she gets imprisoned, and she gets new ideas and new wounds. Kind of her thing.

Muy lento el desarrollo de la trama, poca acción, los mismos "giros" argumentales una y otra vez y un final que deja demasiadas preguntas en el aire, que será muy difícil que se contesten adecuadamente en el siguiente volumen.

I enjoyed this second book as much as the first, but the cliff hanger ending made me want to punch the book in the face. Thank heavens I have the third book on hand, but please bless the third book doesn't also leave me hanging because the forth book doesn't come out until next year. (Around the Year in 52 Books: a book where one of the main characters is royalty).
