3.5 Stars. It took me a while to get used to the writing style and Noah's spastic thought process but once I did I fell in love with him (not so much with Jude) and really got into the story. I wasn't happy with the way the author wrapped up the relationships at the end (both Noah's and Jude's). A little more detail and closure would have been nice. I think an epilogue would have settled that nicely. ...more

Wow! This was an amazing book, I can't wait to read more by the author, I was moved to tears, to laughter and made me think. I thought about art, creativity and am itching to create something new myself.

As so many Young Adult books are, this phenomenal read is just as meaningful for adults. I found it to be especially meaningful to me as the parent of two young adults.

Please read this book, just do!

This is why I still read YA literature. I loved these characters. I loved the description of neuro-atypical thought in ways that really put me in the character's head instead of as an outside observer. I loved the idea of artistic images that sprang up in a character's mind so vividly they felt real--emotions expressed as hair turning to snakes, coiling around; girls as hornets buzzing. I can see why some people hated this book. But I loved it.

I loved that this book had difficult issues, but was

This book was filled with amazing, raw emotion. The words read like beautiful poetry. I took a star away because of how all the coincidences neatly tied things together at the end.
