I've read a lot of fairy tale retellings. There are some rewrites of Snow White that I've come across but not nearly as many as there are of Cinderella. Most of them are just meh. This one is fabulous. I've re-read it every year since I first read it in 2014. The entire Lunar Chronicles series is A-mazing.

We get more of Winter's (Snow White) story in this thrilling conclusion to the series.
I love the relationships in this book; some are romantic ones, sure, but the female friendships are great, too.
Cinder might be the lost princess on a quest to regain her throne, but she would stay lost without the diverse talents of Scarlet, Cress, Winter, and Iko (the android with the defective personality chip). The guys help a bit, too.

Although Winter was a very satisfying close to the Lunar Chronicles, I was really frustrated with its length. At over 800 pages, I could have identified multiple incidents (or sections when the characters were being TOO self-absorbed in the narrative) that could have been edited out without negatively impacting the development of the story. Although I gobbled up the first few books, it took me real effort to come back to this one each night, and took me a week and a half to read.

4.5 stars. I love this series. Great characters, well developed plot lines and great settings. The writer does a fantastic job drawing the reader in and the audio book reader is over the top excellent. The only reason it's not 5 stars is that it slowed down in the middle for me.
