Reread this again for #ReadChristie2024, the 1930s era.
Still enjoyed this so much, probably one of the best of Marple's books, and still one of my most favorite narrators of all Christie's books. Why didn't she use the Vicar for other books? Lol

I'd read and enjoyed one other Agatha Christie novel this year, and needed an entertaining audio book, so I thought I'd give this one a try. I can't say it disappointed. The mystery was intricately plotted, and once again Christie tricked me, so I didn't realize who'd actually done it until the final reveal. I lay part of that blame on Georgette Heyer, though, whose novel The Unfinished Clue utilized A LOT of the same character builds and relationships, as well as the method and manner of death. ...more
