Here and there I had read bits of Dear Sugar before, but they were far and too few between. Oh, this still wasn't a book that I could read cover to cover. There are too many letters that I could have written. Too many answers that brought tears to my eyes. Too many sentences or phrases that needed to be savored.

Sugar gets it. And completely speaks to me. She answers questions by including personal stories and definitely sees common issues differently than most people. I appreciate her perspective and enjoyed reading this.
This is probably the best book to read if you are in any type of transition in your life. Sugar (Cheryl) has a way with advice that peeps into her life and all our lives in kind. It's beautiful and generous & makes me want to be kinder and wiser.

I enjoyed this collection more than her other, more famous work, Wild. Though this is a book best read in pieces rather than in a large chunk. She really is an excellent writer and many of the pieces made tears come to my eyes.
