Goofy. Awkward. Funny.
I love Allie Brosh. Her brain is a beautiful thing. Although she presents herself as unique, I deeply connect with so many of her stories. I love love love the Richard story, the poop suspect story, and the story about the grocery/knitter. Her stories about her sister are beautiful, heart-wrenching, and yet so delightful. And my favorite favorite is her last story. This book seems unnecessarily physically heavy (why so heavy) but I plowed through it.
Anxiety. Creepy child. Sisters. Weird pets. Everyone is a person.
Not as many laugh-out-loud parts as her first book, but I still enjoyed her voice, stories, & hilarious drawings nonetheless. Has some good moments capturing the dark sides of childhood, crippling social anxieties, and of course, the inner life of pets.
There were parts of this that I really enjoyed, but there were some parts that I just slogged through. There also a lot of times that I just thought WTF she is so weird.
