The title contains a spoiler: The content of this text is “surprisingly simple”—most of the book is re-stating the same concept in different ways or with different metaphors. The writing style drove me to distraction, with its conversational brevity and routine use of “no really, this is important, trust me” insistence. The author has a good idea and a solid point to make, and the text is approachable, but my goodness it’s full of itself.
