What Members Thought
One of the most absurd, fantastical stories from Agatha Christie. The twist at the end of the book is a bit too much, but somehow fits with the tone of this book. The Orient Express in the midst of snow, the mysterious murder, the unreliable characters and testimonies, and of course- the grand Hercule Poirot. Everything fits nicely in the end, and even though the ending and Poirot's decision are a bit uncharacteristic, I still think this is one of the best of Dame Agatha. Oh, and the movie adapt

This was only my third Agatha Christie novel, and my first Hercule Poirot novel. I wanted to read it before the new movie came out. I needed something light and fast to read, and this did not disappoint.
Poirot took some getting used to, but he grew on me. The mystery was interesting, and while I didn't figure it out in advance, the resolution made perfect sense, and ended being quite satisfying all around. A bit of a slow start with so many characters introduced. Once the mystery started, it was a quick and fun read. Suspected ending halfway through.
I read this again since the movie was coming out. Still the best Poirot classic.
Amazing story
I do love seeing Poirot solving the mystery. I loved the range of characters that kept you guessing. Christie is not an author that gives you all of the clues, but enough that it makes sense in the end. It was a good mystery.
