Confession: I didn't like The Princess Bride when I first saw it when I was eleven years old.

However, I saw it again when I was in college and I fell in love with it at that time. I've been a fan ever since.

I originally purchased As You Wish: Inconceivable Tales from the Making of The Princess Bride as a print book, but then I heard great things about the audio version and decided to give that a go instead. I fell in love with the movie and have seen it more times than I recall.
I own the movie.

So it was nice to learn more about the movie and the book from Cary Elwes perspective.

I am going to reread the book each year before I watch the movie.

If you are going to read this book, you should really get the audio book. Cary Elwes (our beloved Wesley!) read the book aloud and he has co-stars from the Princess Bride read aloud as well. We heard from the director, the producer, Robin Wright, Wallace Shaw (Inconceivable!) and Mandy Patankin. I loved this book.
