I have to admit that I don't take much interest in the Royal Family, so I was hesitant to read this for a while. Then a friend whom I have a lot of books in common with recommended this and I finally decided to give it a chance. I'm so glad I did! The Royal We is a deliciously addictive read. Bex is a compelling character with whom I enjoyed spending time. There were a lot of really great moments throughout. I thought I would like this so much more than I did. Everything about it sounds right up my alley, but I didn't think it wasn't well-executed and found it difficult to even get through. The pacing was odd - scenes would go on excruciatingly long, and then years would pass between chapters. It just felt off. 3.5 stars. I enjoyed this more than I expected to! This was my first audible.com book; I thought I'd try listening to a book while on the elliptical so I chose something light that I wouldn't have to pay too much attention to. Well, I found myself listening at every opportunity, to the detriment of the "real" (paper) book I'm also reading!
