I stared reading this book when my son was four and five. We would read a little before bed each night. When we got to the final collection, Now We Are Six, he told me we couldn't read that one yet because he wasn't six yet. So I waited.
When he turned six, he was already reading simple chapter books and didn't want to read about Winnie the Pooh and his friends anymore. I mentioned finishing this anthology a few times, but he put it off in favor of other books because his one looked too childish. ...more

I'm sure I must have read Winnie-the-Pooh before as I remember all the characters and had a very strong memory of Pooh trying to trick the bees into thinking it was raining so he could steal their honey, but otherwise I couldn't remember any specific events. I don't know whose copy I ever read but I don't think it was mine, or I would still have it!
