Other than getting a little too wordy at times this ended up being a really good book. I will definitely be checking out more books in this series.

Darn you, Dean Koontz, and your power to draw me in! The ending of this book rocked me, but that is all I will say about that. I'm still reeling from it, though. I didn't think that I was going to like this book at first. I didn't like all of the analogies and annoying attempts at humor. Next thing I knew, however, I was in the middle of the book, anxious to find out what was going to happen next. I started enjoying the humor mixed in with the intensity. I adore Odd Thomas. He's funny, and sweet ...more

I hate heavy-handed foreshadowing. I also hate self-conscious narrators. This book relies heavily on both. I was interested enough in the characters and the plot to persevere, and by the end was feeling generous enough to rate this at a 3.5, but I won't be getting the sequel out of the library any time soon. ...more

AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!
That is the word that most people who read Odd Thomas seem to always use. They are right. From the very beginning you are drawn to Odd, and come to love and understand him and why it is such a fitting name for him; however inocently he may have come by the name.
The ending is a little predictable, but the author still finds a way of shocking you with the truth at the end. No spoilers here folks it is just too good of a book to be spoiled for you.

This book was really good. It was my 2nd Koontz book and I plan on finishing this series. The main character is so lovable.
