This book was truly fascinating. I loved the different take on things, on the idea of what truly makes up humanity and a person human.

Every character had a decidedly different way they'd gotten to where they were, and the idea that some of the characters had even 'run away' to escape another life, that this harsh chemical smelling life was so much better, was incredible. I can't remember why I added this to my To Read list. I think I saw it on a list of must reads with high reviews or something - I honestly can't remember. All I know is I saw it recommended at some point, picked it up from the library and had it here at home when the quarantine hit and I got to read ALL the library books I'd been hoarding.
