I yawned. And then I yawned again. No, really! I did!

Wasn't it reviewed as, "one of the most exciting pieces of children's literature" somewhere? Umm, I don't think so!

So here's Rowling's first book after the Harry Potter series and I wasn't disappointed, but that's only because I didn't expect a lot. The tales are not at all engaging or captivating. They are slightly on the gory side, but I still don't see how they can be likened to the Grimm's Fairy Tales. It might have made it to bestseller'

A quick-reading quintet of fairy tales set in the wizarding world, essentially bedtime stories for young wizards that can be enjoyed by Muggles as well. Beedle, with the assistance of Dumbledore, Hermione Granger, and J.K. Rowling, imparts life lessons in his tales, and while the concepts might be abstract for young minds, the creativity with which they are delivered may make them stick in the long run.
If I had any complaints about the book, it would be its brevity. I can forsee having children

Shelves: listened-to
The stories were like wizarding versions of Aesop’s Fables. The highlights were Dumbledore’s
commentary after each one. Nothing great, but short and fun.
