Though I do have some traits of highly sensitive people, I think I am more likely mildly or moderately sensitive. So, I didn't identify with all of the points of this book, but it did offer some useful insight and advice on viewing some of my traits as a part of who I am and not necessarily a flaw. ...more

Reads more like a supportive friend sharing common experiences and occasional gossip, rather than a well-researched explanation from an expert. Last chapter recounts visions and something like an alien visitation, rejoicing in the spiritual depth Highly Sensitive People are capable of.

I'm sure this book would be great for, say, teenagers who are getting to know themselves—reading about HSPs in such exhaustive conversational detail might grant them extra self-confidence.
