What Members Thought
This is a very precious little book indeed, but it didn't draw me in and make me go HMM like some of my other kid/YA summer reading. I think, however, that this would be a superb book to read aloud to kids just at that pre-reading stage (or maybe younger and older, too). In other words, this book does not transcend its age group to me, like I had hoped it would, but I think if I did actually have children, it would get an A+ stamp of approval.

I love Kate DiCamillo - ever since I read Because of Winn-Dixie. This was a great book too. I am looking forward to watching the movie this summer.
Once again the book is better than the movie. While I'm not really sure I liked this book, I do like this author.
