I read this on the strong recommendation of two new friends, and I'm glad I did. In general, I enjoy urban fantasy (although, given the fictionalized world setting, was this perhaps straight fantasy , despite the urban feel? I'm not sure about that.), and this book was certainly not an exception. While the writing wasn't perfect, and was difficult to immerse myself at the beginning of the book, I became increasingly obsessed with the story.
