I really was going to give this 3 stars, until I got to the last, utterly ridiculous, 15 pages. Completely unbelievable. So many eye rolls.
Other than that, the book is mostly a fun, easy read.

Extremely predictable and the love story seems to be modeled almost exactly after the Mark Darcy love story. I feel like Helen Fielding almost wrote this with another movie in mind. Yet, despite all this, Mad About the Boy (like all of the Bridget Jones books)was an enjoyable read.
Maybe I should be ashamed for loving this book as much as I did, but I'm not. Love Bridget and regardless what everyone else says, thought it was v. good.
