I'm not giving this 5 stars for it's literary genius or anything, just that it absolutely hooked me in and kept me up reading really, really late into the night because I couldn't put it down. I adore epistolary novels, and have such a hard time finding them. This one was not only in a genre I enjoy, but it was well written and fun, also. It requires a healthy use of imagination, but luckily I didn't find that to be a problem. Now to seek out Ms. Ahern's other works. ...more

Cecelia Ahern did it again. I was hooked on this book from page one. I loved the format of telling the story through notes, letters, emails, and IMs. It seemed to drag a little toward the end, but not too bad. Maybe I was just anxious to find out what was going to happen. A really great light, fun book, and that from someone who doesn't normally enjoy 'chick-lit'.

An epistolary novel (including emails) with the time-honored plot of a guy and a girl who are "just good friends" or are they? Well-written and enjoyable, partly because of the Irish setting.
