I liked this book. it was funny and smart. At some point it got on my nerves but overall I enjoyed it.
It seemed to me that the writer wants to show us earth and life on it are beautiful no matter what.

Okay. This book.

If you'd checked with me at various points while reading it, my projected Goodreads rating (obvs always a thing to have in mind ;P) would have been 5 stars... then 4.5... then 4... and by the time I was done I'd landed on 3.5. Rounding back up to 4 in memory of its illustrious past.

Summarized: an alien narrates to his peers the bizarre experiences of living as a human, amongst other disgusting humans. How strange it is to be anything at all, as Neutral Milk Hotel would say.

I really enjoyed this book though I think it lost some steam as it progressed. What does human culture look like to aliens? Can we find meaning when we are so insignificant?
