I still adore Helene Hanff. I would have liked to be her friend. While this one may not have been as endearing as its predecessor, 84, Charing Cross Road, I did enjoy reading about her eventual visit to London. It was amazing to me how many friends of friends or fans of her writing reached out to her to show her around or entertain her in London. I like that she writes about herself without being self-conscious. She admits that she threw a fit when her tour guides wouldn't show her what she want
