I'm pretty sure I've read this book before but it is so charming that I didn't mind at all (plus I read books multiple times anyway...usually I remember them though). I loved that these are true letters exchanged Helene Hanff and the staff and families of the Marks&Co bookstore. Delightful! I'm not sure how I came across this, but I'm glad I did. Format uses one of my favorite devices: told through letters! And these are real letters. Pen pals... so nostalgic. For almost 20 years a sassy New York woman and a polite London gentleman (and some others in his circle) send letters.
