What Members Thought
I FINISHED THIS BOOK! after about 2 years, in various states of reading and not reading, I finally finished it. I seem to remember really enjoying the first half of the book. I love Faramir, and found much of the earlier parts of the book, even the battle scenes, oddly for me, enjoyable and interesting. The writing style can be challenging to read, but that didn't bother me until I got bogged down in the part I didn't enjoy--Sam and Frodo's trip through Mordor. I stopped reading at some point in

let me just say i listened to this book on audio...i had no idea what was going on...people were fighting...people were dying...other people weren't...not a clue...but now i've read all three so i can watch the movies
