The reader (Lisette Lecat) does an excellent job of reading with a convincing by not annoying accent and handles the African words and place names relatively smoothly. I would definitely look for more audio versions of this series.

I wanted to like this book, but maybe my expectations were too high because I'd heard so many good things. It took 25% of the book before there was a detective agency, although I did enjoy the backstory and learning about Botswana. Considering that was setup for a full series, it's not bad, but it still dragged for me a bit. The cases were cute and I enjoyed Mma Ramotswe's chats with her admirers.
