This was a fun read. At first, I wasn't sure I was going to like it too much, but once I got into it I enjoyed this easy read. I loved the subtle humor in it.

I listened to this book on CD, and, although I'm not a big fan of audio books in genera, I am glad I did. the narrator is from South Africa originally, and does a beautiful job with the accents. At first they were distracting, but once I adjusted to them, they gave a wonderful depth/ authenticity to the story, to hear what the characters might really sound like.

I've only read his Isabel Dalhousie books, but I enjoy them, so I figured I'd enjoy these as well. I was really surprised at how different his voice is in this book. How he can do an upper-crust Scottish lady and a middle class woman from Botswana is amazing to me. I enjoyed the structure of this book; many short episodes rather than one long, involved mystery.
