This is a truly heart-warming story, not just about a dog and a group of battle-hardened Marines who find and save him, but also about how people in different parts of the world and from different cultures can come together and work in cooperation for a common cause. It gives one example (among countless thousands I'm sure) of how love, friendship, and peace can blossom even in the midst of war.
