I am not loving this, but I can understand the reasons so many do. I don't relate to the characters for the most part, and I feel like that might be a big point in this book. I am not a fan of Harry Potter, have never read the books, and only watched a few of the movies. The Simon Snow character of this book plays to every Harry Potter fan wanting more. Fangirl was ok. I think I like Rainbow Rowell's other books that I have read better, but this shared a lot of the same well-written dialog. The problem with this one is the book-within-a-book was not well done and it threw off the balance of the main story.

Cute coming of age story from a master of the YA genre. I still feel like the little kid in The Princess Bride... "they're kissing again."

I love everything Rainbow Rowell writes! The worst part about this book is the title and the book cover. It seems like it would be a light read, but covers some weighty topics in this story of Cath's first year of college. The sweet love story rounds it out for a completely enjoyable book.

My favorite Cath moment is when she tells stupid Courtney that the Simon Snow series are BOOKS, not MOVIES. That is so something I would do.
