Didn't expect to enjoy this book as much as I did...the main character writes fan faction in response to a science fiction novel that has been written by a published author and becomes hugely popular. She and her twin sister go off to college and her twin wants to more independent. The fan fiction writer twin rooms with a strange freshman with whom she slowly becomes friends.

I love everything Rainbow Rowell writes! The worst part about this book is the title and the book cover. It seems like it would be a light read, but covers some weighty topics in this story of Cath's first year of college. The sweet love story rounds it out for a completely enjoyable book.

I really like Rainbow Rowell's style - great character development that really rings true, and good writing. This feels like a YA novel to me, in a very good way - I'm not sure how that gets decided. In any case, I recommend it - engaging but not heavy.

I really enjoyed this book, and it totally redeemed audio books for me. I thought it was fun, very well written, and well worth the time to read it. I'll be checking out the rest of Rainbow Rowell's books now too.
